Tibetan Sand Mandala currently being worked on in River Forest. The monks started yesterday and will work on it until Sunday. It is to symbolize the brief and fleeting nature of life, the monks will quietly sweep their creation away in a ceremony scheduled for Sunday.

PADS Have a Heart

I did volunteer work on Sat. night for my favorite local non-profit, West Suburban PADS. They had their 20 year “Have a Heart” celebration at the River Forest country club and it was a beautiful night from the red candy table to the dancing.
Hearing the story of one couples evolution from homelessness to prepairing for their wedding with their two children really shows the extent of what PADS does for people.
The place was full, it’s nice to know so many people in the community care.

Last fall my 7 years old son Taron and I spent an evening at one of the night shelters serving the guests dinner, my son loved helping and felt honored when a few of the guests thanked him and told him he did a good job. It’s such a win win situation for everyone involved.




And staying on the Heart theme, my daughter needed valentine cards to hand out at school this morning, so here is what we put together yesterday.

I have taken business portraits of him, I have photographed his architecture, I have taken shots of him building and many of him visiting great archtecture so it's time I took a few of what his does most of these days, and that is standing at his desk designing, okay he's on the computer drafting it all a lot too, but that doesn't look as interesting.

okay! so whats worse, not to have a blog or to have one I can't seem to keep up to date? With all the processing, galleries for clients, backing up and more backing up there never seems to be time for doing new creative work or posting here. I was going to try and put together a post from all the pre-holiday sessions but I think I'm going to just jump in and add a few right now for fear I don't get around to all of them. So here's some random family stuff
