A little bit of everything for the mothers day mini session, mother and daughter, grandmother and grand daughter, sons, daughters, mothers to be again... a lot of smilling faces, and some contemplation.

Free photo shoot

Call for babies born Aug. 2008. I am looking for 4 babies born in Aug. of 2008, for a photo shoot. If you own a bumbo seat or have access to one that is a hugh plus. Each parent of the chosen 4 will get one digital file of a portrait of their child. Prints of the group shots will be available for purchase at a discounted rate. Due to copyright issues, I will not release the digital files of the group shots. Parents will need to sign release forms, as this is an art project and may be exhibited, or copies of prints may be sold to 3rd parties. Mothers Day Special

I will be doing a mothers day special on April 18th, so prints will be ready for May 10th. This will be an in my house/studio mini session. This will be a 20 minute shoot, taking into account time for kids to settle this allows for one set up only, one outfit of clothing, or one concept. It can be used as a maternity portrait also. If interested e-mail now to reserve the time of day that works best for you. $100.
Half an hour too short, you want the full session, or want to give the mother a gift certificate on mothers day, purchase a gift certificate between April 29th and May 8th, mention the mothers day special and get 15% off the session fee.

Artist as the art piece

Number 2 and 3 in my 2009 Portrait Project. Andrea Seigler, artist and art teacher in Berwyn public schools. Here I added Andea's features to a mixed media piece she made, and is now hanging in her home.

Aswell as her flow yoga classes at studio's in the Chicago area, Carla goes into school and works with kids, bringing wellness to communities from all walks of life. She mixes it up, teaching a hip hop yoga class among other things. Please chack out her web-site to see these great programs.

Yes I've been pretty slow with additions here with the start of the new year. Taking a little down time after the busy holiday season. Hope everyone liked their photos gifts. Thank you all for giving me the opertunity to work with your family to produce some great images and holiday cards. Eventually I will update my portfolio and you will see snipets from our shoot on my web-site. I have a lot of additions for my family relationship folder.
Here are some babies we saw just a few months ago, leaving the newborn stage, we will see then again a coupld of time for their first year in photographs.

This last image, is the first in a new series I will be doing over this year. Mentors. I have picked 3 people to start this new portrait series and Hannah was my first subject. Hannah is a film director, the mother of 3 girls (the 3 girls in red holiday pj's on a posting below), she knits, she grows some of her own food and cans, she crafts, and this is just a little of what she does, so I went to her house to capture this.
